SURPRISE GEOMAGNETIC STORM
SURPRISE GEOMAGNETIC STORM:
Last night, sky watchers in northern-tier US states were surprised when
auroras appeared during a brief but intense geomagnetic storm. The
G3-category event, which forecasters did not expect, may be linked to a
"canyon of fire" CME impact two days ago. Get the full story @ Spaceweather.com.
Don't miss another storm: Subscribers to our Space Weather Alert Service
received an instant text message when the storm broke out, giving sky
watchers in the aurora zone a chance to rush outside and see the show.
