 GEOMAGNETIC STORM UNDERWAY: A moderately-strong G2-class geomagnetic storm is underway on April 14th following the apparent arrival of a "dead sunspot CME." During such storms, naked-eye auroras can descend into northern-tier US states from New York to Washington. It is unknown at this time whether the storm will persist until local nightfall in North America. Check Spaceweather.com for updates.

T he United States Space Command (USSC) has confirmed a 2014 study from a team of astronomers, noting that government sensors did, in fact, detect a meteor on Earth that originated outside our Solar System. The rock is only the third   interstellar   object ever detected in our system, and the first to enter our atmosphere.
