Weekend Geomagnetic Storm Watch

The full halo coronal mass ejection (CME) observed on Thursday has been modeled by NOAA/SWPC. They are predicting an almost direct passage past Earth by late on March 13th and into the 14th (UTC). Aurora sky watchers should be alert later this weekend as Minor (G1) to Moderate (G2) geomagnetic storming may be possible once it arrives.

T he United States Space Command (USSC) has confirmed a 2014 study from a team of astronomers, noting that government sensors did, in fact, detect a meteor on Earth that originated outside our Solar System.
