 NASA ROCKET PLUNGES INTO PULSATING AURORAS: Over the weekend, NASA launched a rocket from Alaska into an expanse of mysterious pulsating auroras. This type of aurora, which is a bit like a strobing checkerboard, is a favorite among tour guides because it is so unusual and mesmerizing.
