Large Prominence

A nice prominence is currently located off the northwest limb. Image below courtesy of GOES-16 SUVI.

Solar activity remains at very low levels, although there should now be an increasing chance for minor C-Flares with the addition of a couple of new sunspot regions.

As of this update, a new region turning into view from off the east limb has increased the solar X-Rays to around the C1 threshold. Something to keep an eye on during the next 24 hours.
